Juicy month at Piers Anthony's joint

Anyone read his latest updates of his directory of internet publishers? Some juicy stuff this month, hinting at trouble brewing at New Concepts Publishing and Triskelion Publishing, question marks raised at Hard Shell Word Factory and Whiskey Creek Press, and rumors of a smear campaign related to a feud between Silk Vaults and Mardi Grass Publishing. On the bright side, Samhain Publishing and Liquid Silver Books get some kudos.

Kudos for Piers Anthony. Sometimes in the past he has posted rumors to soon or too uncritically but now he is a great first warning system. I have heard similar things about many of these publishers but without a quotable source I did not want to post about it.

Wow. Smear campaigns and feuds. Thanks for the link. I'm always interested in reading what Piers Anthony has to say,

I'm published by both Samhain and Triskelion and I have no complaints about either.
Both pay on time, both edit thoroughly and sales with both are great.
However, last month Triskelion let some authors go who weren't selling. Sad for both sides, but best to make the break, to give the authors a chance to sell elsewhere. It seems some are bad-mouthing the house, to the detriment of the authors who are still there. The more professional among them aren't. I'll let you decide which is which.
I'd like to stop industry rumours, as they don't serve anyone except the gossips. But they'll go on, as they have always done.

Glad to see the blog back, keeping my fingers crossed it is to stay :) And I hope gossipers like Piers will keep at it too.
