Repugnant, murderous, blood-sucking vampires with TERMINALLY BAD HAIR

Why didn't someone warn me that they made a music video out of a Sherrilyn Kenyon (or is it JR Ward) story?

Click play at your own risk - the video, the song, the dancing are all, as they put it, full of FAIL.

Speaking of vampires, if you have time to waste, head over to this thread that details Anne Rice's public dispute with a restaurant owner back in 1995. The fellow had converted the building that Anne Rice designated in her books as Lestat's resting place. She didn't approve of the decor, fired a public reprimand in the paper, and it went downhill from there. As much as I adore Laurell K Hamilton's crazy train drama, Anne Rice in her glorious heydays would never be beat as the Queen of Crazy. I especially love this public response by someone who supported the restaurant owner:

Please, Anne, refrain from architectural criticism and stick to what you do best......writing lucrative novels that romanticize repugnant, murderous, blood-sucking vampires with TERMINALLY BAD HAIR.

That fellow is DJ Bobo, which I am given to understand is one of Switzerland's most popular acts. That song was his Eurovision entry for 2007.

Switzerland... must be an interesting place, music-wise.

Ah the Eurovision, that was one of the more entertaining entries this year and followed on from the Zombie cheerleeders that won in 2006, aka the mad Finnish entry. It was probably an entry to try and get the "Eurovision is rubbish lets mock it" votes.

We here in New Orleans have long known that Anne Rice is bat-s*&t crazy. She is surpassed only by other New Orleanians when she started buying up properties being sold by the Catholic church. Some people lost their minds over the fact that the woman who wrote devil stories was going to own God's buildings! That restaurant owner is almost as crazy as her. It was fun to watch while it was happening! And, I would kinds like her back here at the moment with her architectural craziness. That restaurant owner has still not opened that place after Katrina. After all that fighting it is now an abandoned building on one of the most gorgeous Avenues in the world.
