I have been sitting on my hands for so long every time I read Dear Author that I am pretty sure the palms of my hands are imprinted on my seat by now.
Jane and the gang running the place are doing an excellent job, make no mistake.
But I'm really tired of a bunch of gasbag-spewing, vitriolic, passive-aggressive pinheads who have set up camp 24/7 on that place and infest every discussion thread, often derailing those discussions. And it's not like one can even discuss with these people, mind you. Chances are, they will run off to their own blogs to write a rant completely devoid of self-awareness about what a rude and hateful moron you are. I can only imagine poor Jane trying not to pull her hair out at the way these people never fail to make a discussion all about them.
So, anyone has any good books to recommend to me while I sit out on that site for this week? With plagiarism being the topic of the moment for the next few days at Dear Author, I can only imagine that these unpleasant gasbags are going to make reading Dear Author an experience best partaken only with strong beverages at hand. Mind you, there are only four comments there in the plagiarism thread the last I look, and I already feel like pulling my hair out when the usual suspects begin to wave their self-congratulatory "Look at me! I'm brilliant!" placards in there.
