This cover isn't bad at all

This was nominated for the coveted title of Worst Cover of the Year by AAR, but I actually think this one is pretty nice in a "futuristic fashion ad" kind of way. Call me a perv, but if you put Jamie Bamber, Jensen Ackles, and Ryan Kwanten in this uniform for a new sci-fi TV series, I'd be glued to the TV screen every week no matter how terrible the show is.

I was surprised to see that cover on the worst list too. I don't see what's wrong with it and have certainly seen a lot worse this past year.

I didn't think this was that bad, either. And while I like some of the covers chosen for the best of the year categories, I've realized that I have very bad taste or something, because -- with a few exceptions -- the first word that comes to mind after my "ooh, that is kind of pretty" is "boring."

haven't they seen any of the Amber Quill covers you posted? The Prince Who Never Smiled still gives me nightmares!

I've always liked this cover, though I may be biased :) What did they find wrong with it? Who nominates these things anyway?

Wouldn't say that it's inaccurate, lol. Generations have been progressively wearing less clothes for centuries now. By the turn of this century, everyone could very well be reduced to parading about in their skevvies *gigglesnort*. Wonder how the girls figured out how to make their hair blow about like that without a wind machine?

The story is set on board a ship, for the most part, and the MCs go into the water quite a bit. So their being in swim suits makes sense, no? You can attribute the blowing hair to oceanic winds : )
