Ugh, small presses can be such a pain sometimes

Just checking - did I miss out on any place that I can buy electronic versions of Alex Beecroft's False Colors and Erastes' Transgressions? Running Tree Press seem to have them only in Kindle editions via Amazon; other than that, I have to bite the bullet and pay for Amazon's shipping fees. Fictionwise doesn't have them, neither does ebooks.com nor All Romance Ebooks the last I checked.

I went as far as to contact MPH Singapore, their Southeast Asian distributor, only to be told that they could bring in copies for me, but I would have to collect them myself in Singapore as they aren't too keen on sending MM stuff over the border into Malaysia. I tried to tell them that the Kinokuniya in KL has three aisles full of erotica so they could send them over to me in Malaysia, but you know how Singaporeans can be sometimes - they are such sticklers for the law, sigh.

So, if there is somehow somewhere there are electronic formats of these books available, please let me know and I will be most grateful.

You were just talking about why books get pirated Mrs. G? I personally think that is one of the reasons right there.

@mrsG - do you happen to have an ipod touch? There is a kindle for ipod/iphone app in the apple store that will let you shop and read kindle titles. Otherwise, could try to get review copies in another format. Although a company choosing Kindle may be doing so because of the DRM issue and be unwilling to send review copy PDFs, etc. I'd trust you with a PDF.

@teddy - IMO that falls into the "any reason to steal" category of excuses.

Mrs. G, I am on a discussion group with both of these authors and can request they send review copies to you if you like. Maybe you could send me mailing info via email? Louisev AT zebratta.com. I'm messaging them now.

Hello! I got the note from Louise. There is an ebook version of both books available from Sony if that's any good to you:

Or alternatively, if you don't mind waiting a little, I can send you a print copy of False Colors from the UK.

Thanks but I think I'll just place an order with Amazon since I think there is no e-format available apart from those designed for specific readers.
