M&M Romance

My two Running Press books arrived from Amazon today. After opening the parcel, I left the books on the table. My husband saw the "An M/M Romance" thing on the cover and asked me what those letters stand for. I told him "M/M" stands for "Military/Medical". Since the two covers showed men in uniform and what not, he didn't suspect anything.

I've spent an insane amount of time explaining M/M to my husband, especially considering that I haven't read or written any. He can't wrap his mind around the idea that it isn't gay erotica. He keeps asking in befuddlement, "So women like to read about men doing it?" This from a man who loves the whole 'girl/girl' meme. Men!

That's why I'd rather not explain to my husband. He doesn't have to know about everything that I read!

Okay, that truly made me laugh. You're quick on your feet.

you'll need to be quick on your feet to explain to him WHAT is Military and Medical about these books when he comes back dissatisfied and suspicious.

My husband knows what I write and what I read. He doesn't care. I don't gripe about his Ayn Rand, he doesn't gripe about my boys. (he much prefers dystopias and nonfiction)
